Very nice blog, and very informative. We’ll be making a similar trip with a DF 52 and were thinking also about having work done in Mazatlan. We haven’t contacted them about pricing because it’s still a ways off, so was wondering if you would share with us what the labor rate is at the marina. For example, what are they charging for the bottom job and as an hourly rate for your fiberglass and inside work? Please continue the fantastic posts!

It’s only getting better…but we consider it the “calm before the storm” as we know that in a couple of weeks we’ll get dirty, gritty, oily, coarse and crude as we conduct the biennial haul-out drill…gathering rosebuds while we can!

Thanks so much for the kind invitation — but you’ll see as you read through the logs, we’re now on the other side of the continent — enjoying southern Mexico! Our advice if you’re a cruiser wannabe? Just do it! It’s a great learning experience – and one of the things you learn is that it was easier than you thought!

Hi and thanks for posting your blog. Your boat is beautiful! Let us know when/if you ever get back to Green Cove Springs.
